An office fit-out is the ideal time to get your IT infrastructure right. Once walls are up and floors are down, retrofitting network cabling and power is expensive and disruptive. Server rooms need dedicated circuits with adequate capacity. Desks need floor boxes or dado trunking for power and data. These must be specified during the electrical design.
Wi-Fi access points need ceiling mounting points, power-over-Ethernet feeds and optimal positioning that accounts for wall materials and room layouts.

Retrospective cabling installation is disruptive and expensive. Surface-mounted trunking is unsightly, and breaking into finished walls and ceilings costs three to five times more than first-fix installation.
We work with certified cabling contractors to install structured cabling. We design and specify the installation, then manage the contractor on your behalf.
We recommend a minimum of two Cat6 data points per desk — one for the workstation and one for the phone. Meeting rooms typically need four to six points for displays, video conferencing and connectivity.
