Secure WiFi for Business UK

Your WiFi network is only as strong as its security. Cloudswitched delivers encrypted, segmented and continuously monitored wireless that keeps your business safe.

WPA3 Encryption

The latest wireless encryption standard protects data in transit between devices and access points — significantly stronger than WPA2.

Rogue-AP Detection

Our systems detect unauthorised access points that could be used to intercept your data or provide a backdoor into your network.

Network Segmentation

Corporate devices, guest users and IoT equipment each operate on isolated VLANs with firewall rules preventing cross-network access.

Why WiFi Security Matters

An unsecured or poorly secured WiFi network is one of the easiest entry points for cyber criminals. Weak passwords, outdated encryption, flat networks and rogue access points are all common vulnerabilities in business environments. Securing your wireless network is one of the most impactful steps you can take to protect your business data, and it does not have to be complicated or expensive.

How We Secure Your WiFi

Encryption & Authentication

We implement WPA3 with 802.1X authentication for corporate devices, providing both strong encryption and identity-based access control.

Segmentation & Isolation

Separate VLANs for staff, guests and IoT devices ensure that a compromised guest device can never reach your corporate systems.

Continuous Threat Monitoring

Rogue-AP detection, client anomaly alerts and wireless intrusion prevention run continuously, flagging suspicious activity for immediate investigation.

WiFi Security Services

Layered wireless protection from encryption to monitoring.

01

Encryption Configuration

WPA3-Enterprise with 802.1X authentication for maximum protection, or WPA3-Personal for simpler environments.

02

VLAN Design

Separate network segments for corporate, guest, BYOD and IoT traffic with firewall rules enforcing strict isolation.

03

Rogue-AP Protection

Automatic scanning detects unauthorised access points and alerts our team for investigation and containment.

04

Security Audit

We audit your current wireless security configuration and provide a prioritised list of improvements with clear remediation steps.

05

Event Monitoring

Security events are logged, correlated and reviewed by our team. Suspicious patterns trigger immediate investigation.

06

Policy Development

We help you develop wireless security policies covering acceptable use, BYOD, guest access and incident response.

Frequently Asked Questions

WPA2 is better than nothing but has known vulnerabilities. WPA3 addresses these with stronger encryption, protection against brute-force attacks and improved security for open networks. We recommend upgrading to WPA3 wherever possible.

A rogue access point is an unauthorised device connected to your network that broadcasts a WiFi signal. It could be a well-meaning employee plugging in a home router or a malicious device designed to intercept data. Either way, it is a security risk we detect and contain.

For the highest level of wireless security, yes. 802.1X uses certificates or credentials to authenticate each device individually, ensuring only authorised devices can join your corporate network. For simpler environments, WPA3-Personal with a strong passphrase may be sufficient.

VLANs create separate network segments so that even if a guest device is compromised, it cannot access your corporate files, printers or servers. Each segment has its own security policies and firewall rules.

Yes. We offer a WiFi security audit that reviews your encryption settings, network segmentation, access controls, firmware levels and rogue-AP exposure. You receive a detailed report with prioritised recommendations.
